NOTD: Zoya Veruschka

Zoya Veruschka swatch

Here's Zoya Veruschka, a beautiful dark green matte nailpolish that came out with the Zoya Matte Velvet Winter 2009 collection.

I like the fact that this has a velvet effect rather than the flat matte finish other brands got us used to.

The consistency is quite liquid. You will get very minimal brush strokes - none, if you have mastered the art of painting your nails. Veruschka takes approximately 20 minutes to dry. Given that it's a matte nailpolish and that you would wear it without any topcoat, you're more likely to experience chipping sooner than with a regular nailpolish - it lasts approximately 5 days on my nails whereas regular nailpolishes last twice as long.

Hope you like it!

  1. I've always been undecided as to whether I like matte polishes or not - I saw a brown/taupe colour one once and instantly decided I didn't like it, but I like the shine coming from this Velvet finish, its a nice medium between matte and shine but a bit more on the matte side. I've always though that matte colours look for professional, and since I've just hit 20 I've suddenly become obsessed with looking more professional lol, so this polish is perfect!
